make handmade mixed-media collages from discarded computer parts, found ephemera and fashion magazine offcuts. RAM sticks, GPU boards, circuit boards, things that once held someone’s work and memories, become the structural and conceptual material of each piece.
I call this practice Tender Tech. It sits at the intersection of technology and tenderness, two things most people assume are opposites. My work asks what happens when you take the waste of our hyperdigital, hyperconsumptive world and make it beautiful again. Slowly. By hand. With glue and time.
My most recent work, The Doppel Effect, takes this further: a handmade collage with an embedded Raspberry Pi screen at its centre, rendering a live face-to-ASCII portrait of anyone who stands before it. The boundary between handmade and digital dissolves entirely.
I was an exhibiting artist at the Bucharest Collage Festival 2025 and spoke at MK Geek Night in June 2026 on Tender Tech: Joy, E-Waste and the Art of Delightful Making.
